I'm torn between two great offers. One is with Deloitte consulting for their Business Technology Analyst position. The other is Technology Analyst with Morgan Stanley. Compensation wise the latter is better but given the location is in New York, it levels up because of high living expense there.
Work nature wise, Deloitte is client-facing work so typically I would work in another city Mon-Thur at a client site and work in my home office(Philly) on Friday. The job is less technical compared to MS. Mostly just configuration, testing, and systems integration. MS, however, I would learn about further programming skills, which at this point I enjoy doing.
Another consideration is, I would like to open my own business in the next 10 years. Deloitte would provide me with lots of exposure to different industries and businesses. It also have a full-tuition MBA reimbursement program and you will have time to do full time MBA and come back as a manager or senior consultant.
I'm also very concerned about how my work will affect my 3-year relationship with my bf. We live together now in Philly. If I take Deloitte's job, I would be gone during the week and come back on Fridays. If I take the job in NYC, I seriously consider commuting by train. I know this will be a physical and emotional overhaul, but I can't see myself living without seeing my bf at the end of the day. We tried LDR when I interned in NYC, it didn't work quite well.
I guess my question is:
1. Which offer provides better career scope? 2. How crazy it is to commute from Philly to NYC Mon to Fri? Is it feasible? 3. How valuable it is to have an MBA?
HiI read this post 2 times. It is very uuesfl.Pls try to keep posting.Let me show other source that may be good for community.Source: Best regardsJonathan.

Well done for pihilsbung about this topic. There is not enough content published about this (not really particularly great anyway). It is pleasing to determine this receiving a little bit much more protection. Cheers!
