My company is evaluating membership to the Philadelphia chapter of SHRM, but these days we need to be very cost conscious in the HR Department.  I know its a great opportunity for professional development and networking, but I need to be sure its worth the company's investment before spending the dollars.  Can anyone share their positive experiences or benefits they have been able to take advantage of by joining the local chapter?  Thanks!

I have the same questions.  I've been wondering how the benefits are working out for chapter members and whether I should pitch membership to my department head.  Are there any SHRM Chapter members out there who can share their views?
